OAG Honors Program
Selection, Interview and Offer Process

OAG conducts interviews for the Honors Program from December 1 - February 15. Final decisions will be announced by March 15.

Honors Program attorneys can expect to begin work shortly after October 1 of the following year, which is the beginning of the new fiscal year for the District Government. Appointments made through the Honors Program are permanent attorney positions. Each Honors attorney must become a member of the District of Columbia Bar within 360 days of entry on duty and thereafter maintain active District of Columbia Bar membership. The beginning salary of an Honors Program attorney will be at the DS-11 level for graduating law students and at the DS-12 or DS-13 level for judicial law clerks (depending on whether the law clerk is finishing a one or two-year clerkship).
